Artwork clarity is key: Always provide high-resolution original images or design source files; otherwise, the finished product will be very blurry. If necessary, create the artwork yourself using vector software like Illustrator to ensure clear lines.
Color management must be realistic: There will always be a difference between the colors on the screen (RGB) and the colors on the metal lamel pins (CMYK). Slight color differences are normal; striving for 100% consistency can lead to frustration. If you have specific requirements for key colors like skin tones, confirm commonly used color codes with the manufacturer beforehand, but also accept minor differences between the actual product and the screen.
Line work is crucial: The line art of the enamel pins determines the texture. If you have the factory trace the design directly, they may lack artistic skills, resulting in stiff lines. It’s recommended to refine the line art yourself or have a professional artist refine it before submitting it to the manufacturer.
